They include Ngenteg Linggih, Padudusan Agung and Rishi Gana usually accompanied with Sanggar Tawang. “Barong of assorted fruits poses as symbol of prosperity, well-being and safety,” he said.
Fruit barong, said Dr. Sumadi, takes advantage of various ingredients denoting local crops such as fruits and tubers. The crops are presented as an expression of gratitude for the abundant crops having been endowed. “It represents what we have obtained, and manifested in the form of the arts,” he said.
He added that presentation of the crop offerings is carried out joyfully and sincerely. It is manifested in the form of barong because of symbolizing dharma, victory and safety. By all means, it is offered at great temples as cultural greatness. At village trinity temples, it is usually presented in the form of bebangkit offerings.www.bali-travelnews.com
