One of famous diving spots in Buleleng is a tiny uninhabited island, Menjangan Island. As part of West Bali National Park, the sea around the island has been widely famous as the best site for diving in the archipelago.

The island can be reached from a village named Pemuteran Village, on which a jetty has been built for those who are eager to visit the island by motorized boat. The village is part of a new developed tourist resort of which the resort has been designed and developed as a quality tourist resort taking the model of Nusa Dua Tourist Resort only smaller in scale. The resort is named Batu Ampar Tourist Designated Area (Kawasan Wisata Batu Ampar). The main draw of this resort is Menjangan Island with its all tourist attractions and serene atmosphere.
Hotels and other facilities for tourists are gradually come to exist. In line with the planned, development of hotels and other facilities are controlled.
